About The Lighthouse Church

Our Mission

Shining the Light of Christ in the DFW Metroplex

As The Lighthouse Church, our mission is to shine Christ’s Light Proclaiming His Gospel, Reaching the Unreached, Exalting the Triune God in Worship and Ministering to the World with His Love. Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this by creating an environment where people can encounter God, connect with others, and discover their purpose.

We summarize this calling as PREM — Proclaim, Reach, Exalt, and Minister. This is not just what we do as a church, but who we are in Christ. Everything we build, teach, and live flows from this mission as we seek to share the hope of Jesus and grow as one church family.

What We Believe

Our Core Beliefs

As a Church that is built on the Bible, what follows below is our understanding of the basic essentials of our Christian faith.

A foundation for all we do is the Bible and we consider both the Old and New Testaments, to be divineand final authority for all Christian faith and practice. We believe, that the Holy Bible is inerrant, infallible, inspired and trustworthy. It is a complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men.

2 Timothy 3:16–17; John 14:26; 16:12–15

There is one and only one living and true God, who exists eternally in three persons — Father, JesusChrist the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. He the Creator,Redeemer, and Ruler of the universe.

2 Corinthians 13:14; Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1; John 1:14

True God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross asa substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was bodily raised on the third day, ascended into heaven, He is our Savior, Sanctifier, Advocate, Healer and the Coming King.

John 1:1, Hebrews 2:14, Luke 1:34-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3

Divine Third Person in the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit initiates, regenerates, indwells, infills, guides, teaches, leads, and empowers the believer for godly living and service.

Given at pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His ascension, to empower the Church to preach the gospel throughout the whole Earth. The HolySpirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the Church

John 3:5-8, 1 Corinthians12:13, John 14:26, Ephesians 5:18-21.

Created upright in God’s image, fell into sin, eternally separated from God. Through regeneration by theHoly Spirit, can obtain everlasting life, by God’s grace, through faith in Christ Jesus alone.

Genesis 1:21,Genesis 3, John 3:5-8

Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God's word and His spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us.It is through the present ministry of theHoly Spirit and the word of God the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.

I Thessalonians 4:3,5:23; II Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18, II Thessalonians 2:1-3, Romans 8:29, 12:1-2, Hebrews 2:11

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed in His death on the cross, and His resurrection from the dead provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Salvation is a gift of God through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ

Romans 6:23, Hebrews 9:22–28; Romans 4:25, 1 John1:9

The Church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head. The church is the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Lord Jesus' great commission.

Matthew 16:18,Colossians 1:17-19.

We believe, the water Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances that be observed by the Church, during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. Rites that were instituted by Christ, as well as taught by the apostles, and practiced by the early church form ordinances.

Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. In addition, both the saved and the lost will be resurrected; they that are saved to the resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation.

Luke 24:16, 36, 39; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15; I Corinthians 15:42,44; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21

Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 5:3,12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34; John 17:24; II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; I Peter 1:4

Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to the Earth for the second time to establish His kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the scriptures.

Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; II Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant established by God in creation as a life long union between one man and one woman. It is a gift from God that reflects His love, faithfulness, and design for family life.

Our Story

Our Story

The Beginning

The Lighthouse Church began with a small group of believers who shared a passion for authentic community and reaching the lost in the DFW area. What started as a living room Bible study grew into something beautiful as God continued to add to our numbers.

Growth & Community

As our church family grew, so did our vision. We expanded our ministries, launched life groups across the metroplex, and began reaching beyond our local community through missions work, including our India Widow's Ministry.

Today & Beyond

Today, The Lighthouse Church continues to be a beacon of hope in Coppell and the surrounding DFW communities. We're committed to our mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and we're excited about what God has in store for our future.
